Job Description:

The Space and Airborne Systems Segment of L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Sr. Associate, Production Planner to join our team in Clifton, New Jersey. This position will be responsible for coordinating and/or monitoring movement of products through the complete repair cycle to meet program requirements. Advises management of the status of work in progress, coordinates with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain and interfaces with engineering and program management to ensure completion of repairs. Ensures availability of materials and movement of hardware to meet repair requirements and delivery commitments. Works to resolve labor and material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions. Strong organizational and record-keeping skills are required to meet these needs.

Essential Functions:

  • Analyze material configuration and job order status using Windows-based computer systems and software tools.

  • Expedite flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.

  • Monitor order status, including material status, managing WIP areas, location accuracy, inventory discrepancies, and coordinate manufacturing, engineering, and program support.

  • Ensure availability of materials to meet program requirements and delivery commitments. Works to resolve material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions.

  • Effectively communicates status to stakeholders, including organizational leadership and multifunctional teams.

  • Demonstrates operational discipline and ownership.

  • Coordinate and negotiate workflow through multiple work centers to secure needed resources while ensuring hanging customer demands, and schedule deadlines are met.

    Qualifications:

  • Secret Clearance.

  • Requires broad theoretical knowledge of job area typically obtained through higher education combined with experience. Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of prior related experience or Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Ability to understand and interpret technical documentation.

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite of tools and project scheduling/resource planning software.

  • Experience ERP/MRP systems is preferred.

  • Experience using WIP Tracker, FRACAS, Zeus/DTS a plus.

    In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $58,000 - $108,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
