Job Title: Construction Set Crew Member

Summary:
Champion Home Builders is a leader in off-site construction, offering customers solutions from single family homes to large scale commercial buildings all built in a controlled factory setting and then assembled onsite. Champion is seeking an experienced and reliable construction professional to join the team. The Construction Set Crew Member will participate in all aspects of the construction and assembly of manufactured housing and will report directly to a Construction Crew Lead. This position will be based out of Liverpool, PA and travel as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of this position are outlined below. Other duties may be assigned.
Set (block and level) Manufactured Housing Units (Modular and HUD code homes).
Structurally fasten the units.
Complete the roof closure and shingling.
Close up the exterior mate wall sheathing seams to provide a weather tight product.
Complete interior trim out, finish work, and install skirting.
Maintain company tools and materials. Inform management of any issues that arise.
Represent Champion Home Builders with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 40lbs
Ability to stand and/or walk for full duration of workday
Must be able to obtain a certified medical card
Must have clear vision at both close and distant ranges
Ability to hear clearly
Must be willing to travel, with occasional overnight stays
Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in the construction or repair of houses or buildings
Ability to troubleshoot, reason and solve problems
Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal
Understand and execute instructions, work safety policies, and procedures
Computer literate (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel)
Must provide valid driver's license and hold clean driving record
Must be available to work Monday through Saturday
Must pass pre-employment drug screen
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
