Job Title: Lead Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Join a dynamic team as a Lead Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician at a leading corrugated box manufacturer and supplier. You will be working with 480v electrical equipment, pulp mixers and other paper manufacturing machines, PLCs, and you will also work on mechanical repairs involving rollers, conveyors, and belts. Your tasks will include troubleshooting variable frequency drives, sensors, and 480-volt motors. Additionally, you will use manual milling/machining equipment to fabricate parts for repairs. A positive attitude is crucial as we aim to implement a significant culture change. This person will be a Lead Technician, so they will be expected to cover other shifts as needed for absences, workload, and training purposes.

Hard Skills

  • Mechanical skills (gears, gear boxes, bearings, conveyors, rollers, hydraulic/pneumatic equipment, welding, metal fabrication)

  • Electrical skills (PLC troubleshooting with laptops, making adjustments to ladder logic, motor change-outs, motor re-wiring, sensor troubleshooting, variable frequency drive adjustments)

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 60 Day(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Cleveland, Tennessee.

Work Environment

The work environment is not climate controlled but stays within 10-15 degrees of the outside temperature, because it is equipped with fans. It is maintained very clean. The facility includes a mix of new and old machinery, including Allen Bradley PLC systems 500/5000 and a FANUC robot for material handling. Dress code includes decent jeans/work pants, decent t-shirts, steel-toed shoes, and safety glasses. Tools are required, but larger tools are provided. Training will be conducted by a lead and the Reliability Director.

Starting Pay: $32-$36.62/hr depending on experience

Shift: 1st - But this Lead Technician will be expected to cover other shifts as needed for absences, workload, and training purposes.

Schedule: Monday-Saturday
