BASF’s Coatings division is a global expert in the development, production and marketing of innovative and sustainable automotive OEM and refinish coatings, decorative paints as well as applied surface treatments for metal, plastic and glass substrates in a wide range of industries. This portfolio is supplemented by "Beyond Paint Solutions", which enable new applications with innovative surfaces.
We are seeking a Technical Service Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical success of BASF’s automotive refinish products in the Commercial Transportation (CTS) market, helping drive strategic growth for the BASF Coatings business. Working directly with our customers, you will maintain high quality customer service standards through process development, correct application of products through teaching and hands-on demonstrations and helping the sales team convert new business. You will work closely with the sales team to make sure our distribution partners are properly trained and can effectively sell and position our product offerings against competitive product lines.

Training and developing our CTS and Distribution customers.
Making process improvement recommendations that can be highly valuable to end users.
Helping end users and/or distribution partners be more proficient in product application, selling and implementing new products and generating a positive experience with BASF branded products.
Working to elevate your professional experience while adding value to our customers.
Leading presentations focused on introducing new products to market and supporting a better understanding of BASF branded products.
Participating in the technical aspect of the sales process.
If you...
Hold a high school diploma or GED. Higher degree (Associates/Bachelor’s) preferred.
Have experience either training or working hands-on with Automotive Coatings materials.
Possess solid understanding of manufacturing / production workflow.
Understand competitive products and tools.
Are able to communicate effectively, learn, and grow.
Have experience working with Microsoft Office tools.

Pay transparency
BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $80,000 - $95,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
