Robert Half has an exciting opportunity for an entry-level Accountant with a highly successful organization. Reviewing financial statements with a heavy data entry component is the main focus of this position. If you're an Excel enthusiast, you might be a good fit for this entry-level position. We're looking for people who are interested in spreadsheet creation and manipulation. Based in Cleveland, Ohio, this entry-level Accountant job is a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity.
Major responsibilities
Reconciling and balancing general ledger accounts
Perform data entry
Preparing monthly journal entries
Executing alternate duties and partaking in special projects as assigned
Helping with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits
Investigating and fixing account discrepancies
Aiding in full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes Requirements - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
1 year of accounting experience
Data entry experience
Sage Accounting Software experience
Foundational knowledge in Avalara
QuickBooks experience
Knowledge of NetSuite
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is preferred
Preferred education is an AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
