ABOUT THE ROLE: The Project Manager role will contribute to the delivery of high-quality information systems-specific projects using Waterfall methodologies. As a mid-level professional with deep knowledge of project management principles and information systems leading practices, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting project managers in executing various information systems projects. The incumbent in this role will assist the project manager in identifying project requirements, setting project objectives, and identifying project stakeholders. They will work with leaders, technical teams, business teams, and application programmers to coordinate work performed by IT stakeholders. This role requires a good understanding of project management and information system methodologies. The incumbent will contribute to ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. WHAT THE ROLE WILL DO: Identify specific project objectives and opportunities for internal systems-specific projects that can be translated into concrete project management tasks Perform day-to-day project management activities, ensure that tasks are completed efficiently, risks are identified and addressed, and support team members to deliver the project on time and within budget Identify and prioritize project requirements/objectives, estimate resource need, and report findings to senior project managers Track all project expenses, ensuring expenses are being monitored, and keep senior team members informed of total expenditures Facilitate collaboration among the IT project team members and lead regular progress meetings to identify issues early and take corrective actions as necessary Create contingency plans and offer mitigation strategies to help ensure the resolution of project risks, issues, and dependencies Review the feedback from senior management, and make necessary updates and/or provide any assistance needed Ensure adherence to project quality control and quality assurance processes, and identify opportunities for process improvement Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders and document degree of alignment with project goals and objectives Participate in ongoing learning, attend relevant workshops or training, and share emerging trends and best practices knowledge with the team Education Required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Project Management, or in lieu of a degree, at least 3 years of experience in the field of project management or Information Technology Preferred Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), or CAPM Skills and Experience 2-4 years of experience in project management with a focus on information systems (ideally involving network, server, or software implementation and upgrades, and/or PC deployment) Moderate understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques Experience in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Knowledge of project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, and Confluence Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills Experience working with and directing vendor resources Ability to present status updates to a variety of audiences Ability to seek out continuous process improvement Technical Skills Software Development Lifecyle (SDLC) Methodology Project Management Methodology Project Management Tools Project Data Analysis & Insights Data Modeling Business Requirement Gathering & Documentation Demand and Capacity Planning Project Estimation and Budgeting Sherwin-Williams is proud to be an Affirmative Action, Equal Employment Opportunity, Inclusio
