The Sherwin-Williams Company Senior Financial Analyst in Cleveland, Ohio

Responsibilities of the position include: Primary contact for all functionality of the People Planning application Liaison between the business and IT groups to ensure that issues arising from the business are being properly solutioned and communication channels are connected Document current state build and processes so that it can be used as a reference tool for others within our teams Identify gaps in current processes, propose creative solutions for eliminating potential gaps, and work with cross functional teams to implement any changes Conduct monthly maintenance within HCM to verify all employee data points are aligned and accurate and assist with clearing any suspense items Create workflows for new planning groups as needed Communicate new CVR changes when additions are needed to allow for our planning data to be loaded into OneStream without issue Serve as support to the FP&A SG&A team when issues arise related to the loading of employee headcount stats Lead all enhancement requests starting with the review of the request, approving the enhancement, and successful implementation Implement the Position Master functionality within People Planning Training of users on how to use the application as needed Ensure proper security access and accuracy of masked data feeds Assist with bringing PCG and GSC up on the SHWPay module Lead other ad hoc projects within the project teams that focus on automation to contribute to our broader goal of driving process and reporting efficiencies Core competencies include: Self-starter with the ability to think creatively for new solutions and challenge our existing practices Execution-focused with the ability to take individual responsibility for delivering quality work in a timely manner Capability to learn on the fly and address key stakeholder needs Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external business partners and work across functional groups Must have a strong work ethic and business sense with the ability to jump between competing priorities Ability to make decisions independently or escalate when applicable Identify leading practices and drive adoption and continuous process improvement outcomes Experience working on finance projects, with emphasis on process improvement and automation POSITION REQUIREMENTS FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: Four-year degree in Accounting, Finance, IT or business-related field. Preferred: Master's Degree in business related field. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: 3-5 years experience in finance and accounting related roles as documented in this job description OneStream experience and/or other relevant finance IT applications Excellent communication skills, relaying ideas in both technical and user-friendly language Exceptional ability to facilitate meetings and follow up with resulting action items Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment and to lead and influence cross-organizationally with and without direct authority Ability to effectively move forward on tasks even with ambiguous or changing requirements Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Working knowledge of all Sherwin-Williams global source and reporting systems Ability to lead, persuade, and motivate to effect organizational change TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Required: Exceptional ability and initiative to learn and research new concepts, ideas and technologies quickly Exhibit ability to conduct research into applications Exceptional systems/process orientation with demonstrated analytical thinking, organization skills and problem-solving skills.
