Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Non-Destructive Testing Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting quality weld inspections using various methods in accordance with industry standards and contract-specific requirements. This position offers a competitive hourly rate and is for the 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM shift, Monday through Thursday.
Responsibilities
Conduct quality weld inspections using various NDT methods.
Provide factual, comprehensive data and draft reports for customers addressing NDT inspection criteria.
Coordinate with Project Management, Production, Customers, and Third Party Surveyors.
Prepare Quality Plans, Inspection, and Test Reports.
Review and certify final documentation for customers.
Demonstrate proficiency as an NDT Level I/II with a minimum of 600 logged hours in any two of the following areas: Visual, Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant, Radiography Operator, Ultrasonic.
Set up and perform NDT test procedures.
Interpret specifications relative to NDT testing and acceptance/rejection criteria.
Be familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which qualified.
Exercise assigned responsibility for OJT and guidance of trainees.
Prepare written instructions and organize and report the results of examinations.
Work independently and support team members.
Perform other job-related tasks as needed.
Essential Skills
NDT Level II or above certification
Proficiency in Visual Inspection (VT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), Radiographic Testing (RT), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
Qualified and certified to ASNT-TC-1A in two or more NDT methods
Previous Level II Certification to ASNT-TC-1A with documented classroom and on-the-job training experience
Experience in inspecting metal fabrications, pressure vessels, piping, tanks, or gas systems
High school diploma or equivalent
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Certified Level II in Visual Examination (VT), Liquid Penetrant (PT), and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
Current AWS CWI certification
Experience with steel testing and welding inspection

Candidates that have done NDT/NDE inspection at companies such as BWXT, Cleveland Gear, or any aerospace company would be a good fit due to the size of parts/inspections. We have the largest Roll Forming & Press Break machine in the Northern Hemisphere and operate three large machining centers with potential growth opportunities to learn multiple machining centers. We work in a clean manufacturing environment with government contracts for the next 50+ years and no lay-offs.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $76900.00 - $110000.00
