Robert Half Medical Billing Specialist in Cleveland, Ohio

Description We are in search of a Medical Billing Specialist in CLEVELAND, Ohio. This role is particularly crucial in our healthcare industry operations, as it involves maintaining precise patient billing records and ensuring the effective handling of medical insurance matters. We offer a long term contract employment opportunity in a 100% on-site workplace.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure consistency in activities and relevant programs with the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

• Exhibit proficiency in medical billing and collection practices.

• Display a good command of computers and Microsoft office software, particularly Word and Excel.

• Demonstrate a deep understanding of insurance and reimbursement processes.

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, colleagues, and the public.

• Show willingness to work in the office environment.

• Display strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment.

• Must be well organized, detail-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality.

• Demonstrate patience and courtesy when interacting with people.

• Exhibit good telephone and client/patient relation skills.

• Display the ability to work with diverse client populations and community organizations, as well as staff at all levels.

• Use 'Allscripts', 'Cerner Technologies', 'Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE)', 'EHR SYSTEM', 'Epaces', 'Accounts Receivable (AR)', 'Appeals', 'Benefit Functions', 'Billing Functions', 'Claim Administration' skills when necessary.

• Perform other duties as assigned or directed. Requirements • Proficient in medical billing software such as Allscripts and Cerner Technologies.

• Familiarity with Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) and EHR SYSTEM is a must.

• Experience with Epaces software is beneficial.

• Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) management.

• Ability to handle appeals effectively.

• Understanding of benefit and billing functions in a healthcare setting.

• Proficient in claim administration and management.

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

• Solid understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
