The Sherwin-Williams Company Manager Strategic Projects - Financial Planning & Analysis Center of Excellence in Cleveland, Ohio

The Sherwin-Williams Enterprise Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Center of Excellence (COE) provides support to the broader finance organization to improve FP&A's ways of working. The Strategic Manager position will be focused on continuously driving these changes by identifying opportunities for improvement and creating/driving projects to put changes in place. The role will lead new projects focused on driving efficiencies, improving accuracy, creating stronger alignment across finance and creating consistency within FP&A and the broader finance organization. The Strategic Project Manager position has the opportunity to gain exposure to many of the company's operating units and interact with leaders of the organization. This position communicates regularly with various levels of finance leadership, enterprise finance networks, 3rd party consultants, and representatives from various functional teams. This position works both independently and collaboratively to lead forward looking workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and driving financial outcomes across the different levels of the organization. A successful candidate will have strong financial acumen, a good communicator and good project management skills. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS The role is focused on: Identify opportunities for improvement Define value each project generates and communicating it to key stakeholders and leadership Develop project recommendations for new processes that drive efficiencies Develop project timelines for change Create transition plans for new processes and managing transitions Oversee transitions Create strong communications for leadership that spell out why/when/how FP&A is creating change POSITION REQUIREMENTS FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: Bachelors degree in Finance, Business, Consulting, or a related field Preferred: Masters degree in Finance, Business, Applied Mathematics, or a related field CFA/MBA KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: 5+ years experience working in finance in some capacity Ability to build strong business partnerships and collaborate across finance, multiple business units and stakeholders Strong communication skills Travel up to 10% Sherwin-Williams is proud to be an Affirmative Action, Equal Employment Opportunity, Inclusion and Diversity Supportive Employer.
