Robert Half Lead Real Estate Accountant in Cleveland, Ohio
Description We are looking for a diligent Lead Real Estate Accountant to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio. This role is crucial in maintaining our financial health and requires a detailed-oriented individual who can oversee commercial properties, prepare and review journal entries, conduct weekly cash analysis, and fulfill ad hoc reporting needs.
Responsibilities:
• Work collaboratively with a team of accountants to oversee commercial properties
• Prepare and review journal entries diligently
• Conduct weekly cash analysis to maintain financial stability
• Cater to ad hoc reporting needs as per the requirement
• Understand client requirements and ensure consistent, accurate, and timely reporting
• Prepare and oversee all aspects of advanced level financial statement packages
• Create and post journal entries
• Record cash receipts and expense payables for the period
• Prepare and submit funding requests as and when required
• Partner with field and Account Management teams to ensure client requirements and terms are met
• Respond effectively to sensitive issues related to finance and accounts
Skills:
• Strong Customer Service and Reporting skills
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Cash Handling
• Ability to produce and review financial reports
• Proficiency in Cash Activity management and Journal Entries
• Strong Communication Skills and the ability to work with Partners
• Knowledge of Real Estate industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and Yardi
• Ability to manage Fund Administration and Account Management
• Experience in Expense Account management
• CPA certification is a plus
• Strong Analytical Skills and ability to perform Ad Hoc Reporting
• Comfortable working onsite 5 days a week. Requirements • Must possess strong customer service skills
• Proficient in reporting and accounts payable (AP)
• Knowledgeable about cash activity and cash handling
• Ability to review, produce and manage financial statements
• Familiar with journal entries and ad hoc reporting
• Excellent communication skills are essential
• Experience in account management is required
• Must have experience in finance and production
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites
• Familiarity with real estate and fund administration is a plus
• Onsite work may be required
• Experience with expense account management is preferred
• CPA certification is required
• Strong analytical skills are essential
• Familiarity with Yardi software is a plus
• Must be comfortable performing ad hoc financial tasks
• Ability to work with partners and manage relationships effectively
• Experience in prescreening financial documents and reports is preferred
• Must be capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
