Materion Key Account Manager (Remote Opportunity - West Coast/Pacific NW) in Cleveland, Ohio

Materion has an exciting opportunity for a Key Account Manager to develop and manage a sales territory around the US West and Northwest area. Materion is seeking a passionate, self-starter to drive profitable sales growth for our Performance Materials (PM) business. This role will help drive sales growth across an array of PM products in the Aerospace, Space, Automotive, Consumer Electronics and other markets.

The candidate for this role should be located in: US West Coast or Pacific Northwest region and should expect travel within region. Candidates in other locations may be considered depending on qualifications and proximity for travel.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver sales growth across diverse industries sales by prospecting for new business opportunities, while protecting current share, within named accounts

  • Create and execute detailed account plans while engaging other functional resources to grow sales across PM’s product lines

  • Discover technical and commercial needs to build compelling, quantitative value propositions that turn customer stakeholders into Materion advocates

  • Deliver and maintain accurate sales forecasts, reports, and account records in CRM system

  • Develop a strong working knowledge of the PM product lines - selling the full portfolio of products, and seeking sales opportunities for other Materion products

  • Gain consensus with internal and external stakeholders to constantly advance and win the deal

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Materials or Mechanical Engineering preferred) or related technical discipline required

  • Professional training in consultative sales is a plus

  • Prior experience in manufacturing industry is a plus

  • Minimum 8 years professional work experience in technical sales, engineering, product marketing or product management.

  • Minimum 4 years in a sales role with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
