Crescent Hospitality Corporation Group Sales Manager in Cleveland, Ohio

Description The Hotel Cleveland is looking for an eager hotel sales manager who is ready to elevate this luxurious property. The Group Sales Manager will be responsible for selling this Marriott Autograph Collection's 491 rooms and 60,000 sq. ft. of meeting space. This is an overtime eligible manager (OEM) position. Handle all social room block reservation details from contract signing to date of departure. Move throughout property to conduct site inspections. Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel, both orally and in written form to previous, current and potential clients. Prospect for new business - Internet prospecting, cold calling and contacting former clients to solicit new business and attends industry events/programs as needed. Builds and maintains strong client relationships. Responds in a timely manner to incoming group business opportunities. Ensures that all business is booked within hotel parameters. Create contracts and other related booking documentation as required including but not limited to activity tracking. Manage and maintain client account files. Detail all social room block events by compiling group resume for Operations team. Use negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts. Perform other duties as assigned. REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES: A minimum of two years of hotel sales experience is required. Must have the ability to communicate in English. Ability to move throughout the hotel to conduct site inspections.
