Job Title: Automation Controls EngineerJob Description
The Automation Controls Engineer will be responsible for creating, implementing, and modifying advanced manufacturing process controls, and working with the Development, Operations, and Quality teams to store and manipulate process data output for the development of data storage and visualization. The candidate will collaborate with the Development, Production, and Program Management teams to deliver world-class solutions.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop, implement, and establish processes that will increase the efficiency and productivity of the plant.
Review processes, new and existing, to recommend improvements.
Design systems of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls for machines and equipment, utilizing knowledge of computer-aided design and applying knowledge of electricity, electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Design and draft components of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication devices, and other related equipment.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to review functions of machines and equipment.
Plan logic systems for functions such as sequence and timing control.
Develop, install, and debug control system programming including PC operating, PC/PLC communications, PLC HMI, and/or specialty component software.
Design and draft diagrams of cable connection for robots, robot end-of-arm tools, robot controllers, and other machines.
Essential Skills

Experience with Allen-Bradley
Robotic design
Keyence PLC ladder logic
SQL
MES systems
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Engineering Degree (Bachelor's or Associate's) or equivalent experience
5+ years of PLC experience in a manufacturing environment
Work Environment
The work environment involves spending 50% of the time at a desk and 50% on the floor working with machines.
