What we're looking for
Our Industrial Maintenance Technicians assist with maintenance and repair operations of the production equipment to continuously improve operations of production lines and complete Preventative Maintenance requests. Is accountable for machine down time and involved in maintaining the entire plant's physical property.
Shift Schedule
Monday - Friday 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Expectations & Accountabilities
- Troubleshoot and complete basic repairs of hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems; assist in more complex equipment repairs.
- Work in a team environment and assumes a team role while being engaged in departmental problem-solving operations.
- Learn to process and complete all Preventative Maintenance requests for the respective departments in a timely manner and according to training provided.
- Answer calls for production support and assists in changeovers and setups.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, precision measuring instruments and other shop tools and equipment.
- Support Lean Manufacturing goals, including all 6S processes and good communication to the production teams and management.
- Develop a customer/supplier relationship with the production teams.
- Follow all safety guidelines and promotes safety in the work areas; is always respirator-fit ready.
Other duties as assigned.
What you'll need to be successful
- One year of production maintenance experience.
- Forklift experience - driving authorization required within three (3) months of acquiring position.
- Knowledge of safe use of various equipment (such as drills, saws, hand tools, electronics, and welder torch).
- Mechanical aptitude to perform equipment troubleshooting and repair/rebuild.
- Ability to read and understand product quality requirements, basic schematics, and diagrams.
- Upon work assignment, ability to plan, prioritize and manage daily activities (self-motivated and self--directed).
- Ability to work on a team or, at times, independently in a multi-tasking environment.
- Understand, comprehend, and comply with Lock Out Tag Out procedures for all equipment.
- Ability and willingness to successfully complete the 24-hour Haz Mat training.
- Strong communication and customer skills are needed to keep the customer well-informed of the status of their department's equipment.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience that will set you apart
Associate degree in electrical or mechanical field of study or equivalent experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment.
Demonstrated ability to be flexible and supportive to meet changing work demands.
Demonstrated knowledge of electrical systems. Ability to troubleshoot and apply basic principles to PLC, digital electronic and electrical devises, and read AC and DC circuits.
