Position Summary
Start your journey with Parker and shape a better tomorrow! We’re looking for inquisitive thinkers and resourceful problem solvers that want to grow with us as Corporate Engineering Interns. Interns will gain valuable hands-on experience in the manufacturing environment while learning from dedicated engineering professionals and building their network.
Our program is designed to stretch students professionally and provide them an overview of the operational side of our business. At the conclusion of the summer program, interns will be invited to learn about applying for the Parker Leadership Development Program or other available direct hire positions.

Research and Development
Exposure to new technology assessments, additive manufacturing, automation, specialized Parker product development methods
Observation of the entire product life cycle from conceptualization to production
Product Design
Involvement in the design and development of mechanical components and systems using CAD software
Creation, design, and prototyping of new components or modifications to existing products
Testing
Instruction on testing mechanical systems, evaluating findings, data analysis, and reporting
Quality/Manufacturing
Work alongside the Parker manufacturing team to understand the production processes and provide engineering support
Troubleshoot issues, improve processes, and assist with the evolution of a product from design to production
Qualifications
Committed to working in-person, onsite at a Northeast Ohio Parker location 40 hours per week in Summer 2025
Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field at an accredited 4-year college or university in the United States
Adaptable and willing to participate in a variety of engineering and manufacturing assignments
Professional demeanor with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Collaborative and contributes productively on team projects
Enthusiastic while working though challenges and making progress on open-ended assignments
Active listener, displays genuine curiosity and maintains a growth mindset
Innovative, possesses skills necessary to investigate and research new topics
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and CAD systems such as AutoCad, ProE, etc.
