Texas Health Resources Registered Nurse (RN) OR Dept - Full Time Days in Cleburne, Texas

Fast-paced, OR department is looking for top skilled OR Circulator nurses. Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Cleburne, 201 Walls Dr. Cleburne, TX 76033

Work hours: Full Time, 40 hour work week - Varied Hours and Days- start time as early 6:30am – 3p dependent on cases. Requires rotating weeknight and weekend call – Call usually averages out to 1 day a week and 1 weekend a month.

Department highlights:

· 4 OR suites with an average of 150 surgical procedures completed a month

· Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne is a Level IV Trauma Center and offers a wide array of comprehensive services, including: 24-hour emergency services, Orthopedic and Joint Replacement Center, birthing suites with chimes that herald the birth of each new baby, community education classes, outpatient surgery, respiratory therapy, physical and occupational therapy, a certified digital mammography program, outpatient radiology services and pulmonary rehabilitation.

· Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne is a full-service, 137-bed acute care hospital with more than 80 physicians on the medical staff.

Here’s What You Need

· Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Nursing Diploma required

· BSN preferred

· 1 Year Experience as an Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program.

· 2 years of experience as a clinical nurse in the Operating Room(strongly preferred) or 2 years clinical experience in med/surg

· RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required)

· BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care required

· ACLS preferred

Position Responsibilities

· Operating Room RN duties and skills

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

· Assesses the patient

· Plans the care of the patient

· Intervenes as appropriate

· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
