As the Facilities Cost and Controls Analysis Project Manager, you will be responsible for financial monitoring and control of NY1’s construction program. You will work independently to provide oversight for all spending within the Facilities Construction department ensuring compliance with department and corporate requirements. You will also be encouraged to maintain budget information for all construction projects by accessing data from SAP and other PMIS software. Also, leading critical construction programs, establishing program achievements, monitoring progress, and reporting out progress to management.

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Identify, handle, and monitor key performance indicators for the department.

  • Provide input into technical decisions by assembling and/or coordinating relevant data.

  • Identify potential problems and provide solutions that prevent their occurrence, with limited scope.

  • Coach, counsel, and train junior members and other Facilities team members.

  • Develop and approve new standards (team policy or procedure development), and specifications to improve efficiency.

  • Fills voids across subject areas on project teams at a global level.

  • Serve as a key resource to work group.

Performance Management

  • Complete assigned duties within expected time frames.

  • Facilities Capital Planner – MICAP; Monthly capital preparation; Monthly capital cash flows; Scenario financial coordination; Review of excessing opportunities.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of area-specific systems and a basic understanding of all Facilities systems

  • Uses statistical methods to prioritize, calculate, and display data.

  • Build an environment of motivation to foster team members engagement to the fullest of their potential.

  • Develop a succession management strategy.

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Development and ongoing maintenance of construction management systems and tools, including SAP and various databases and tracking spreadsheets.

  • Do final cost analysis review and benchmark against past projects and other sites.

  • Provides support for cost estimates and for analysis of proposed and ongoing projects.

  • Communicate customer expectations to the team.

  • Remain current on business and industry knowledge; current and possible future polices, practices and trends.

  • Actively collaborate with global partners to reach aligned decisions.

Program Management

  • Drive a culture of project management.

  • Oversight of the project teams for conformance to policies and practices for construction management.

  • Collect estimates and backup to support and present monthly capital requests as well as any other specific estimate, budget, or planning requirements.

  • Prioritize and approve projects to align with MTV’s areas of focus.

  • Provide project cost information from a detailed level for the Project coordinators to management level reports as required by the construction manager.

  • Providing project management support for all projects (capital and expense) ensuring budget, schedule and scope are developed, presented and approved as required.

  • Coordinating the capital planning process for the organization.

  • Takes lead role in working with Project Coordinators to develop project cash flow and cost to complete monthly updates.

  • Works with team to develop, supervise and control scope, schedule budget, and proper accounting of projects.

Cost Management

  • Develop and supervise project budgets.

  • Expense oversight includes: Expense project budget coordination; Expense project budget monthly analysis and review; Monthly project cash flow updates and reevaluation for new projects; Review of corporate expense benchmarking and follow-up as needed.

  • Collaborate with purchasing and accounting in budget vs. cost tracking.

  • Run, measure and monitor costs within your department.

  • Providing and assisting in development of department budget.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Accounting or Finance or relevant experience

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a cost and controls role on large scale construction projects

  • Broad background in facility and building management

  • Good computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet, and the ability to lead and direct both internal and external resources

  • Must have excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication and presentation skills and ability to communicate well with management team

  • Essential that you have strong leadership skills and ability to collaborate in teams, work on multiple tasks simultaneously, and make decisions with minimal guidance or counseling

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$79,000.00 - $135,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
