Community Health Systems Patient Safety Monitoring Tech, Telemetry, (FT, Da in CLARKSVILLE, Tennessee
The patient monitoring technician provides cardiac monitoring, TeleSitter and direct patient care support by recognizing, interpreting, and responding to cardiac rhythms, continuous pulse oximetry and observation and surveillance of assigned TeleSitter patients for medical and nursing staff. If cardiac changes are noted, the central monitoring tech will immediately report the changes and/or activate the code and/or rapid response team to ensure medical staff respond immediately. When continuously observing TeleSitter patients, the patient safety monitor technician will play a vital role in nurse notification and patient redirection to ensure the safety of the patients.
The patient safety monitor technician is a vital part of patient care by ensuring all patients receive high quality, efficient cardiac care. This position also provides EKG and holter monitor services for in and outpatient care.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
Education / License/Certification
High school diploma or GED
BLS certification – Must be obtained within 90 days of employment
Must pass internal central monitoring exam
Experience / Skills
- EKG/Tele experience preferred
