Job Title: Digital Equipment Operator

Location: Clarksville, TN

Shift: 1st

Our Digital Equipment Operator is able to operate a variety of equipment in Digital Printing such as the Scodix Ultra, BQ470 Perfect Binder, the ODM Super Sticker, the Delta, Cosmo and PodMaster laminators and the GP2 Casemaker. Along with knowledge of Book Cell and Card Cell processes such as Book Prep, Central Sort, Soft Cover Matchup, Fulfillment, Book QC, Card Sorting, Assembly Screen, etc. They could also be cross-trained on such equipment as the FlatKnive, Horizon Stitchliners, Horizon Smartslitter, MBO Digital Folders, Technau Sheeter, and all other current or potential finishing equipment in Digital. The incumbent is also responsible for keeping areas of operation clean and hazard free and complies with all aspects of the plant 5S and Safety program.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS:

  • High School degree or GED required.

  • Mechanical skills and ability to use hand tools required.

  • Machine operator experience is required.

  • Digital Printing and/or Production equipment experience preferred.

  • Prior experience with laminating and/or book cover making preferred.

  • Ability to read, write and interpret instructions, identify problems and missing information.

  • Good verbal communication and organizational skills.

  • Must be a team player.

  • Must be able to work well a fast-paced environment.

  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Willing to work flexible hours and overtime with short notice.

  • Works well under the pressure of deadlines.

  • Must have flexibility to learn and use new technologies.

  • Must be able to properly lift 10 to 50 lbs. to shoulder height.

  • Must be able to stand continuously through an 8 – 12 hour shift.

  • Excellent attendance record.
