JOB SUMMARY:

The Quality Manager role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the Quality department and program to ensure the continuous production of products consistent with established standards. The Quality Manager understands and aligns business operations as they execute the role to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI business, cultural, financial, and operational objectives. The Quality Manager shares an obligation to protect and strengthen Graphic Packaging International’s good reputation in its relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, competitors, investors, and governmental agencies. Furthermore, the Quality Manager acts consistently with GPI’s core values: Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork.

EDUCATION PREFERRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Production Management, Business Administration, or related field) strongly preferred; closely related work experience required in lieu of degree.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • 18 years or older, required

  • 5-7 years of progressive work experience in quality assurance, continuous improvement, or related field within a complex manufacturing environment; cup making or paper converting experience, preferred

  • 5-7 years of supervisor experience

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required to collaborate and communicate effectively with all levels of employees, various manufacturing, and staff departments within the facility, and with groups outside the facility.

  • Demonstrated ability to utilize time management and multi-tasking skills.

  • Software Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint) and SAP and QAD.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and organizational skills, and detail orientation.

  • Demonstrated ability to implement creative solutions. Takes initiative and is self-directed.

  • High level of integrity to ensure accurate reporting of data.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently without a great need of supervision.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at one time

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including motivation of team members and conflict resolution

  • Demonstrated knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S or other discipline)

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate activities with a variety of departments

  • Strong safety orientation

Pay Range: $87,660.00 - $116,910.00
