Description

The production assembler is responsible for assembling either an entire Dynabrade product tool or component (sub assembly) of a Dynabrade power tool. Performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations to mass-produce products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations.

· Rotate through all the task required in a particular production process. Places parts in specified relationship to each other. Bolts, clips, screws, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together.

· Works from visual aids, method layouts, diagrams, schematics, process flow sheets and written or verbal assembly instructions.

· Conducts quality inspections on product in accordance with quality specifications.

· May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.

· Maintains production or processing equipment. Tends machines, such as arbor presses or riveting machine, to perform force fitting or fastening operations.

· Works at different workstations as production needs require.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Education and/or Experience
