Weatherford Completions Field Technician/Specialist in Clairmont, Canada

Weatherford is seeking an experienced Completions Field Specialist/Technician to provide installation, repairs, and routine servicing of remedial service packers, completion tools, and other rental equipment. In this hands-on role, you will utilize the latest technologies to deliver solutions for our clients and help generate business to increase revenues through sales of Weatherford products and services.

  • Perform installation services for downhole packers and service tools in the field

  • Calculate basic oil industry volumes, pressures, and forces with proficiency

  • Demonstrate keen understanding of field operations including completions, remedial work-overs, cementation, and fracturing

  • Work effectively on pulling units as well as drilling rigs

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on company-owned rental equipment in the field as needed

  • Complete job reports accurately and thoroughly on a timely basis

  • Assist in the shop and make deliveries when available

  • Be available on a 24-hour call basis to respond to customer needs

  • Understand and comply with Weatherford's Quality Policy, Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures, and Workplace Instructions

  • Adhere to all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford

  • Carry out work assignments to the highest quality level

  • Perform various other duties as assigned by the supervisor within the physical constraints of the job

  • 2-3 years of related field experience

  • High School diploma (or Secondary School Diploma or equivalent) as minimum

  • Preferred 2-year College degree

  • General product knowledge

  • Mechanical ability necessary to perform repairs

  • Valid Driver's license

  • Basic Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel computer skills

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to follow instructions and work closely with team members

  • High School diploma (or Secondary School Diploma or equivalent) is the minimum requirement.
