Jana Chapman with Robert Half Finance & Accounting is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant for a thriving manufacturing company in the Clackamas area. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in managing product costs, developing profit margins, and establishing pricing models in line with the company's goals and objectives. As a Cost Accountant, your primary duties will revolve around managing key financial facets of our business. You will oversee various projects, collecting and analyzing data to ascertain business costs, such as those related to raw materials, labor, and inventory. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the existing cost accounting systems and records. Furthermore, your role will involve preparing detailed reports that shed light on factors impacting product prices and profitability and reviewing changes in business operations to assess their effect on costs. At least 3 years of cost accounting experience and SAP is required. Please contact Jana Chapman to be considered for this role.

Requirements

Requirements:

• A Degree in Accounting or a related field.

• Several years of experience in inventory and cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

• Expertise with SAP.

• Expertise in Microsoft Excel and an ability to quickly learn other computer programs.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Exceptional time-management and organizational skills, with proven ability to meet strict deadlines.

• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• A strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
