The Senior Credit Analyst assists in data-backed recommendations for new and existing customer accounts including risk assessment, credit limit approval and change proposals. A candidate will be able to research, analyze and review financial statements, and 3rd party financial data, learn internal systems and apply company policies. The ideal candidate can work independently or with others, multi-task and prioritize tasks as needed in a fast-paced environment.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth financial analysis of public and private companies including review of financial statements, credit reports and other available resources for domestic and international companies.
Evaluate credit worthiness of prospective and existing customers based on financial data, industry trends and economic conditions.
On a continuous and ongoing basis, monitors the credit risk of a portfolio of accounts as new financial data, press releases or other financial data is published throughout a company’s lifecycle.
Monitor and recommend changes to risk ratings and credit limits based on multiple factors including payment trends, business types, terms and conditions.
Prepare profession and technical emails to effectively communicate risk concerns to various stakeholders globally including branch offices, account management and senior management.
Obtain, track and reconcile private company customer financial statements with a high degree of detail and accuracy
Approve Journal Entries within company policies with accuracy
Create and update internal processes and procedures, suggest improvements and efficiencies.
Prepare and document individual customer summaries including internal approvals and legal contracts. Email or verbal communication with legal department for assistance.
Prepare internal documents including Non-Disclosure Agreements and Letters of Guarantee
Customer service to branch locations for a multitude of credit related inquiries
Other projects and duties as assigned
BA/BS in Accounting or Finance and 5 years of related experience
Demonstrated a high level of self-motivation and initiative with an ability to work independently or with others and minimal day-to-day supervision
Ability to exhibit good judgment and deal with a variety of abstract concepts
Must be dependable, punctual, and reliable in the production of work
Ability to problem solve, work in high volume environment and meet deadlines
Ability to respond to sensitive inquires or complaints in a professional manner
Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize daily workflow
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal. Ability to effectively and persuasively write technical emails, and participate in impromptu discussions
Ability to read, analyze and interpret legal and financial documents
Excellent customer service
Aptitude for learning new software applications
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Fluent in English
Must be currently eligible to work in Mexico
