About the Company:

Teledyne Analytical Instruments (TAI), a business unit within the Environmental and Electronic Measurement Instruments group within Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE: TDY). TAI is a world leader in the design and manufacturing of high-quality gas and liquid analyzers. With over 50 years of experience, Teledyne’s product line includes electrochemical sensors, analyzers, and custom systems which combine expertise in electronics, chemistry, and engineering. TAI provides scientific solutions for chemical analysis problems.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for performing routine go/no-go tests of circuits, analytical instruments, and mechanical assemblies to ensure unit functions according to specifications or to determine cause of failure. Sets up test devices using hand tools or automatic test methods. Sets up calibration gases or fluids as required. Documents test results. May perform simple repairs and/or component removal or replacement. May maintain logs and records indicating malfunctions.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Reads test schedule, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications to determine testing procedure and equipment to be used.

  • Sets up devices using hand tools or automatic test methods.

  • Documents test results.

  • Maintain logs and records indicating if there is a malfunction.

  • May perform simple repairs and/or component removal or replacement.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent and some degree of vocational training in electronics or analytical instrumentation preferred and/or equivalent of education and 0-2 years of experience in a directly related field.

  • Basic Knowledge of ISO 9100

  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/Kaizen

  • Knowledge of specific software (design, analysis, ERP…)

Physical Requirements:

  • This position will require frequent standing, bending, stooping, walking, sitting, and repetitive use of hand tools that will require twisting, turning, pushing, pulling, picking, and lifting up to but no more than 30 lbs unassisted.

  • This position will require the ability to visually inspect micro components utilizing such tools as a scope.

  • This position will require use ability to utilize a computer and associated equipment such as a keyboard and mouse.

Salary Range:

$29,480.00-$39,490.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
