Aston Carter Production Planner in City of Industry, California
Monitor the progress of customer orders from initial receipt through production, packaging, and shipping phases. Maintain a daily/weekly and open flow of communication with related supervisors. Transform customer orders into Master Planning Schedule (MPS) and/or production plans. Ensure that inventory, raw materials, and other necessary resources required for completion of work orders are in stock and available in advance of production processing. Analyze the production plans for capacity and manpower, determining resources, constraints, and trends on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Work with Sales and Customer Service team to prioritize customers' and internal requests. Work with customers' supply chain people on long-range and short-range forecasting planning. Assist Customer Service team in handling customer requests by providing customers with prompt and effective problem resolution, and ensure that management is kept advised of customer-related issues/problems that may occur with orders. Coordinate and participate in production meetings; contribute to the planning and implementation of project goals and strategies; and assist with coordinating efforts between support departments. Support the development of Bill of Materials. Leverage supply chain system to streamline scheduling-related processes and improve efficiencies related to supply chain activities. Follow established department SOPs, cGMP regulations, and batch record instructions. Complies with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations. Maintains a safe work environment and operates in a safe manner. Perform other related job duties related to the job, as assigned by management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma, or GED equivalent + 5 years of experience OR BA/BS College Degree or applicable Business training in an accredited college/university a plus
3+ years or more years of planning experience in manufacturing
Experience in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical or food industries is preferred
Experience in contract manufacturing environment is desired
