BUNZL Marketing Specialist in City of Industry, California

Liberty Safety, a respected wholesaler of personal protective equipment (PPE) and a division of Bunzl, is seeking an experienced Marketing Specialist to join our fast-paced team. With over 5,000 active products spanning 27 category lines and 12 sub-brands, we have a vast inventory of head-to-toe safety apparel. The ideal candidate will be a knowledgeable and adaptable marketing professional who will guide our brand strategy across traditional marketing channels, including printed collaterals and traditional media advertising.

The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for traditional media advertising engagement such as printed collaterals, VOC (voice of customer), tradeshows, sales rep/ sales team reporting, market research, and other special projects. This position will be responsible for essential marketing operation initiatives with the Sales and Purchasing departments. These efforts will increase brand awareness and engagements with our customers to continue revenue growth within the safety target segments.

This is a hybrid position. Remote: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. Office: Wednesday and Thursday, based in City of Industry, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and develop an overall marketing strategy plan and execute marketing programs to increase brand awareness.

  • Market research major competitors, customers, regulations, marketplace trends, and produce executive summary of products/marketing trends that are current.

  • Lead tradeshow projects from creation through production.

  • Develop presentations based on VOC (Voice of Customer) from the market trends, new products, and pricing within the marketplace.

  • Work closely with Sale Representatives on understanding current market trends and the key drivers and expectations to make a successful campaign.

  • Create and/or update process documentation.

  • Manage sales analysis reports and projections.

  • Deal and negotiate pricing between all vendors/suppliers on projects.

  • Manage brand messages to increase brand awareness.

  • Serve as backup for Digital Marketing Specialist.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree required, Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field preferred.

  • 4 years or more of Marketing experience.

  • 3 years or more in coordinating different Marketing projects.

  • Self-motivated and hardworking - must be able to manage and prioritize projects to meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

  • Fast learner, projects adjust regularly; will need to learn new tools and gain skills quickly.

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel/Google sheets (index/match, pivot tables, charts, etc.).

  • Analytical and report building skills.

  • Detail-oriented, ability to catch mistakes before they happen.

  • A creative and curious mindset, an eagerness to learn new things.

  • Adobe Creative Suite is a plus (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) on PC.

Liberty California salary range: $68K - $80K based on experience, education, and geographic location.
