EMSL is seeking a Sample Receiving Data Entry Clerk in Cinnaminson, NJ. This is an administrative support position for the laboratory manager and the analysts. It will oversee the shipping, receiving, distributing, and logging in of samples. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Log in samples from all lab divisionsOpen packages; handle, count, split environmental samples to ensure sample integrity is retained and that the packaging is not compromisedCreate and send invoices to clientsReview paperwork and accurately interpret customer chain of custody for all incoming samples to ensure completeness and correctnessEmail, scan, fax and copy electronical report results to clients when requestedFile hardcopy documentsMake sure all samples are placed in proper laboratory area to await analysisAccept samples from walk-in customers and assist with customer or client questions via walk-in, phone, and e-mail as neededClerical duties such as answering phones, filing, faxing, assisting clients, scanning, and mailing as necessaryOther duties as assigned by managerRequirements:High School degree or equivalent; Associates Degree/Some College Coursework completed is a plusOne to three years’ experience with high volume data entry is desiredPrevious experience with chain of custody documents is a plusMust be proficient in MS Office and must be able to type 50 words per minuteExcellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clienteleMust be willing and able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-taskMust be a team playerMust be able to prioritize work assignmentsMust be organized and have attention to detailCritical thinking skills and the ability to work independently are a plusMust be able to lift min of 50 poundsMust be able to stand and sit for various lengths of timeAvailable Shifts:Monday to Friday 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. One to Two Saturdays per month Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. One to Two Saturdays per month.
