Description
We are offering a unique opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the manufacturing industry located in Cincinnati, Ohio. The role mainly focuses on managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and month-end close processes. This position is a contract to hire role and involves working on site.
Responsibilities include:
• Managing accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and cash receipts application.
• Actively participating in collection efforts
• Processing and entering accounts payable invoices for payment, with a focus on foreign vendors.
• Conducting bank reconciliations for multiple accounts.
• Performing month-end trial balance and income statement preparation, and participating in the month-end close out process.
• Actively using Made2Manage software for various accounting tasks.
• Maintaining a professional demeanor and adhering to a business casual dress code.
• Ensuring availability between 9 am to 4 pm, but flex on start time from 7-9 then working 8 hours per day
• Possessing the ability to work remotely if required, with a potential transition to a hybrid work schedule.
• Applying intermediate Excel skills in day-to-day tasks.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, including adherence to vacation and personal day policies.
Requirements • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations
• Knowledge of General Ledger accounting
• Proficiency in making Journal Entries
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Proficiency in using Made2Manage software
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
• Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy in work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
