The Opportunity

Procter & Gamble is seeking a Senior WAN Transport Manager to join our Global Carrier Services team. This team is responsible for procuring, maintaining, and managing data circuits at sites globally. You will be partnering with sites for an assigned region to assist with procuring, managing suppliers, ensuring timely delivery, test and turn up, changes in routers, and providing customer and technical support during outages in partnership with necessary technical teams.

Position Responsibilities

  • Leads Service & portfolio lifecycle program management for WAN Transport technologies and integration of WAN inventory for all sites in region and projects.

  • Works with regional and site counterparts kick off meetings with site contacts for discuss site/project business needs, diversity concerns, design connectivity options, determine associated costs, develop plans to provision and change management to implement changes.

  • Responsible for circuit design by understanding telecom and BCP best practices as applied to circuits, installation best practices, fiber/cabling terminations, path diversity, network measurement tools, etc.

  • Responsible for provisioning of all data network circuit for assigned sites and projects to manage the timely integrations of new circuits and hardware, performance management, testing and acceptance of those new circuits.

  • Responsible for capacity management of circuits for future trends and upgrades needed by working work our capacity & analytics teams and tools to proactively ensure timely upgrades are implemented.

  • Drive governance of all data carriers driving improvements by working directly with carriers and partnering with P&G purchasing, governance, operations, and program management organizations.

  • Collaborate closely with peer IT organizations.

  • Key contributor in the definition and generation of new tools, processes, and automation capabilities, driving improved outcomes, minimizing risk, and promote agility.

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience working within a NOC or similar environment

  • Experience with networks, routers, switches, servers (Win/Unix/Linux), VMWare, SAN, security, wireless, VoIP, etc.

  • Strong network troubleshooting, process workflow and communication skills are a requirement.

  • Experience working with and provisioning and managing transport suppliers.

  • Experience in managing stakeholders and conflict resolution.

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in planning, organizing, and performing network analytical tasks.

  • Ability to work flexible hours based on stakeholder/site needs

Pay Range: $105,000 - $150,000

Compensation for roles at P&G varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skill set, and level of relevant experience. At P&G compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Total Rewards at P&G include salary + bonus (if applicable) + benefits.
