Provide analytical support for developing and obtaining regulatory approval to implement new, or modifying existing, energy efficiency and demand response (EE/DR) programs, and other customer programs across all Duke Energy jurisdictions. Develop annual and hourly EE savings forecasts to support the Load Forecasting and Integrated Resource Planning organizations. Support the development and analysis of Market Potential Studies. Responsibilities Responsibilities include: Collaborating with Solutions Development and program management to plan, design and evaluate new, or modify existing EE/DR programs, and other customer programs, Developing long-term forecasts of EE program savings and costs to support each company's Load Forecast and Integrated Resource Plan, Working with external consultants to support the development of EE/DR Market Potential Studies, Collaborating with Load Forecasting, Resource Planning, Regulatory and other areas as needed to develop required modeling inputs and/or communicate results, Evaluating EE/DR program cost-effectiveness under the Total Resource Cost, Utility Cost, Rate Impact Measure and Participant tests, Developing Scenario Tools and Summary files to assist program management design and evaluate various program scenarios, and easily identify key outputs, Proposing innovative strategies to enhance program value, Implementing productivity improvements, Oversee regulatory proceeding including responding to regulatory data requests, testimony support and witness preparation, Communicating study results to management, internal customers, external stakeholders and regulatory agencies. Qualifications Basic/Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Business, Market Research or Finance AND three (3) years minimum required related experience In lieu of degree and experience listed above, High School/GED AND seven (7) years related experience Desired Qualifications Masters degree in Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Business, Market Research, Finance or related degree Working knowledge of energy efficiency and demand response programs, including how they interact with Load Forecasting and Integrated Resource Planning (IRP) processes Knowledgeable of demand-side management cost-effectiveness tests and evaluation methodologies Experience with regulatory approval and review processes, as well as coordinating and responding to regulatory data requests Strong analytical problem solving and critical thinking skills to resolve complex technical or financial issues Demonstrated effective work habits, e.g. displaying initiative and persistence in carrying out work assignments, seeking to continually improve knowledge and skills, knowledge and innovation in support of continuous improvement and enhanced productivity Strong interpersonal / team skills Ability to communicate clearly, written and verbal Working Conditions Hybrid Mobility Classification - Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period. However, hybrid employees should live within a reasonable daily commute to a Duke Energy facility.
