Job Overview The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Program Coordinator for our Area Health Education Center (AHEC). The Program Coordinator will play a pivotal role in recruiting and developing curriculum for the AHEC Scholars program. AHEC Scholars includes 15 -30 interdisciplinary health career learners who participate in a 2-year curricular experience in rural and underserved healthcare and their standard UC curriculum. In addition, the Program Coordinator will foster community partnerships, design innovative strategies for pathways to healthcare careers, and manage various administrative tasks for the UC AHEC Center. The Program Coordinator will attend state-wide AHEC meetings and conferences as requested by the Center Director, represent the University of Cincinnati AHEC in regional and national AHEC initiatives and activities, collaborate with team in planning for quarterly AHEC Advisory Committee meetings, including the preparation of materials and coordination of meeting logistics, communicate effectively with Advisory Committee members to ensure their engagement and participation. This position will also be responsible for entering training data for AHEC Scholars and other relevant data into the AHEC program's data collection software (powered by Salesforce). Ensure data accuracy and completeness for reporting and evaluation purposes, design and distribute bimonthly newsletters to AHEC Advisory Committee members, keeping them informed of program updates, achievements, and opportunities, utilize various communication channels to promote the AHEC Scholars program and related activities. Manage and update UC AHEC website and social media presence. This position is crucial in advancing the mission of the AHEC to improve health by leading the nation in the recruitment, training, and retention of a health workforce for rural and urban underserved communities. Essential Functions Develop program objectives and monitor quantitative and qualitative data on progress toward objectives. Review objectives to identify problems and solutions, prioritize solutions and develop action steps for program improvement. Develop, administer and analyze assessment/evaluation questionnaires. Compile statistics and prepare reports. Develop and implement marketing strategies to recruit students and program participants. Interact with staff faculty, external agencies and other university departments. May conduct research and analyze relevant literature, other benchmark information to develop grant proposals, new program ideas and propose program changes.
