The UC Department of Internal Medicine aims to be a leader in improving the overall health of the local and global community based upon its tripartite mission of education, research, and patient care. The Department of Internal Medicine is seeking a full-time Program Coordinator within the Academic Research Services team. This position will support the ARS Team in coordinating events, updating policies and tracking data. The Program Coordinator will report to the Director of Research. Essential Functions Design/create and conduct seminars, symposiums, workshops or programs. Develop program objectives and monitor quantitative and qualitative data on progress toward objectives. Review objectives to identify problems and solutions, prioritize solutions and develop action steps for program improvement. Provide financial administrative support for program initiatives. Interact with staff faculty, external agencies and other university departments. Assist with the development of policies and procedures and update department website information. May conduct research analysis data in order to track our grant holdings and submission success rate. Coordinate the internal pilot award program. This includes communication regarding the process, monitoring the process and follow-up with the awardees regarding their progress reports. Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time. Required Education Bachelor's Degree. Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement. Required Experience One (1) year of program coordination experience. Physical Requirements/Work Environment Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
