Fairbanks Morse, LLC Production Planner in Cincinnati, Ohio

Job Title: Production Planner Department: Operations Reports To: Director of Operations Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Plans and manages production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize company's productive capacity Continue to improve and develop effective scheduling processes to achieve production objectives using ERP system and other tool Analyzes sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements Coordinates with inventory personnel on material availability of selected items as needed per production plan Reviews in process orders from production floor Reviews new projects and compare with against current requirements and work already in process using the material requirement planning report Interfaces with manufacturing personnel, the purchasing department and supervisors on material status and production planning issues Reviews master production schedule and work orders Establish and adjust priorities for customer orders based off of project managers inputs Revises schedule according to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability or capability of workers, parts, material, machines, and equipment; Supports the processing of proto-type builds, special tooling and any fixtures as required; Provides support to the NCR/DLA process; Provides support to the area Supervisor for implementation of new processes part of continuous improvement Provides support to Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing manager and Company Management as required Establishes work order start dates and communicates adjustments to Project/Program management as needed Update late delivery report with Root Cause and recovery plans Establish economic order quantity and/or minimum stocking levels as necessary with input from Program Manager and Production Manager and Inventory Manager Work with Manufacturing Engineering to establish cycle times on router and review periodically This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications:

Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; at least one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to interpret drawings and blueprints

Ability to speak effectively before groups
