Working closely with Sports Medicine and Orthopedic physicians, we create a team that gets the athlete back safely and quickly. Each child receives a personalized evaluation and treatment plan made and carried out by your physical therapist throughout their care. We work with the child and family to ensure continuity of care with your physician to achieve the best outcomes. Many of our physical therapists have gone on to achieve specialty certifications in a variety of areas to better serve our patients: * Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT): Physical therapist with a clinical doctoral degree in physical therapy. * Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy (OCS): Physical therapist with specialized knowledge and advanced clinical proficiency in orthopedics. * Board Certified Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy (SCS): Physical therapist with specialized knowledge and advanced clinical proficiency in sports. * Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS): Physical therapist with specialized knowledge in the strength and conditioning of athletes. We are recruiting a PRN Physical Therapist in Sports Medicine. Our clinics are open 8:00AM-7:30PM Monday-Friday. We are looking for someone to help cover vacations, leaves of absence, sick days, etc. We may call in if needed to support the busy needs of the Division. Interested in someone being able to work later in the day to meet our family friendly appointments. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Clinical Knowledge and Skills- Performs assessments and treatment planning, and implements treatment utilizing sound knowledge of normal development and information from appropriate resources. Takes into consideration the psycho-social needs of the patient and family throughout the provision of care and includes them in the decision making process. Utilizes a variety of evidenced based interventions, modifying the plan based on the patient's progress and response to treatment. Facilitates carry-over of progress by providing a comprehensive and updated home program. Effectively implements Guidelines for Determining Frequency of Therapy from onset of therapy to discharge. Demonstrates effective and ongoing communication with all members of the healthcare team, including patient, caregivers, and/or parents. * Fiscal Responsibility- Understands the need for individual productivity targets and works proactively with supervisor(s) to establish a reasonable target based upon departmental need and assigned non-reimbursable activities. Continuously self- monitors performance in the area of productivity and develops an action plan when target is not being met.
