Robert Half Patient Service Representative in Cincinnati, Ohio

Description

Robert Half is supporting a growing team within a healthcare system in Cincinnati who is looking for a long-term contract Patient Service Representative. As a contracted Patient Service Representative, you will be responsible for completing pre-registration and financial clearance functions prior to the patient’s arrival for service, validating accurate patient demographic and insurance information, obtaining pre-certification/authorization as required, and scheduling patients while entering all necessary information into the practice management system.

Responsibilities:

• Pre-register patients prior to their arrival for service.

• Perform financial clearance functions to ensure smooth service.

• Validate patient demographic and insurance information accurately.

• Obtain pre-certification/authorization as per the requirements.

• Schedule patients and input necessary information into the practice management system.

• Monitor and resolve patient service inquiries.

• Leverage customer service skills to ensure high-quality patient experience.

• Utilize phone skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.

• Maintain professional standards and confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient service.

Requirements

• Must have a strong background in Customer Service

• Proficiency in the use of healthcare software and technology is required

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to handle patient inquiries and complaints in a professional manner

• Knowledge of medical terminologies and procedures

• Must possess strong organizational skills

• Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations calmly

• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards

• Willingness to work in shifts, during weekends, and on holidays if required

• Must possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism

• Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment

• Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service
