Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

As a machine operator, you will perform essential operations on EDM machines, including loading and unloading parts, part inspection, and electrode preparation and changing (training provided). You will be responsible for cleaning, preventive maintenance, and making minor adjustments to EDM machines. Additionally, you will prepare various logs (travelers) and records to document machine operations and daily production, enter required data into the computer, transport parts to appropriate locations using rolling tables, and maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area. You will receive and review various records, prepare labor sheets, non-conformance forms, and interact with immediate supervisors, co-workers, and other shop personnel. You will be trained to set up and switch jobs as required and expected to produce more than 98% efficiency daily.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, you will regularly stand, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and communicate. You must be able to work in confined spaces and an office environment, using a computer for 10% of the workday. You must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment may be loud, and you must be able to use required PPE.
