Laboratory Corporation of America Lab Supervisor in Cincinnati, Ohio

Directly supervise the flow cytometry department Cincinnati, OH facility. Responsible for all technical procedures: proficiency testing and quality control. Communicates updates with office in Brentwood,TN analyst group regularly to ensure TAT, and quality metrics are being achieved. Maintain working relationship, with LabCorp management and staff at the Ohio facility.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Provides day-to-day supervision of testing personnel and is accessible to testing personnel at all times to resolve technical problems in accordance with policies and procedures established by the laboratory director and manager.

  • Supports manager in special projects requiring additional investigative work and communicates problems or issues within the lab group relating to technical issues or personnel issues such as individual counseling.

  • Monitors test analyses and specimen examinations to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of login, data entry, quality control, quality assurance, and final reporting in the computer system.

  • Monitors that instruments are not used unless quality control is acceptable, all corrective actions have been taken and the test system is properly functioning on a daily basis.

  • Delegates work in the department so that all tests are completed, results entered and verified in the established time frame.

  • Trains new laboratory personnel, adapting them to accepted procedures in the laboratory.

  • Educates and trains existing staff to newly adopted procedures within specialized areas of the laboratory.

  • Completes evaluations for annual competency to access on-going proficiency of testing personnel and implementation of new procedures/instruments.

  • Delegates and evaluates proficiency testing samples assuring that they are tested in the same manner as patient specimens and that they are being performed accurately.

  • Additional duties as assinged.



  • Medical Technologist degree.

  • 2 years of relevant clinical lab experience.

  • ASCP certification.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Flow Cytometry expereince.




Monday-Friday 2:00pm-8:30pm
