This can pay out up to 9% of your annual income POSITION SUMMARY Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Lead Maintenance technician is responsible overseeing the day-to-day maintenance of all the equipment utilized at the South Terminal facility and the corporate warehouse (this includes production equipment, core facility systems and the facility itself). This position must be able to both perform the tasks of a Level III technician and effectively train their direct reports in the same tasks. This position will be responsible for establishing daily priorities based on business need, as well as reallocate resources as priorities change. This position will be responsible for assigning work orders/PMs in our CMMS system as well as monitor the execution/audit the completion of assigned work. The maintenance Lead will also be responsible for being on call at a predetermined frequency and/or ensuring coverage in technician absence. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Education, Credentials, Licenses: High school diploma or GED Associates degree preferred. Kind & Length of Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience (5+ years preferred) in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with strong mechanical, electrical, and leadership skills required Strong Mechanical and Electrical Aptitude required. Sense of urgency in decision making and time management skills required. Experienced working with the following maintenance equipment: Allen Bradley Products: Guard Master, Power flex, flex I/O, Control Logix controllers and system components preferred. Core facility equipment experience including boilers, air compressors, air dryers and steam systems. Maintaining and troubleshoot pumps. Calibration of various gauges and digital output meters. Prior leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred. PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDS Possess excellent communication/computer skills. Facilitate routine preventive maintenance scheduling and documentation to ensure that manufacturing and facility equipment continue to operate safely and efficiently. Support operations and provide good communication and organization pertaining to the progress and status of a repair. Possess the ability to identify process problems root cause and facilitate their corrective action. Responsible for overseeing the training of new technicians and the training of technicians through a tiered structure. Interact with vendors and contractors to execute projects/repairs. Inspect, maintain and troubleshoot pneumatic control systems. Inspect, maintain and troubleshoot mechanical as well as electrical control systems. Inspect, maintain and troubleshoot digital control system. Install, inspect, maintain and troubleshoot pumps. Ability to read and interpret electrical single line diagrams, I/O diagrams, electrical motor control schematics, P&ID drawings and mechanical blueprints. Capable of working with minimal supervision and good time management skills. Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
