Job Number: R0202818 Industrial Hygienist and Occupational Health and Safety Specialist Key Role: Support the Occupational Health and Safety and Industrial Hygiene technical and program management functions.Conduct industrial hygiene monitoring for physical, radiological, chemical, and biological hazards in a laboratory and field environment.Develop technical reports. Conduct ergonomic assessments, indoor air quality surveys, personal protective equipment (PPE) assessments, and job hazard analyses (JHA).Conduct facility safety, health and environmental inspections, internal and external systems audit preparation and assistance, and investigation of safety and health issues. Provide calibration of industrial hygiene instruments and equipment as necessary to meet manufacturer and regulatory requirements. Basic Qualifications: 6+ years of experience in industrial hygiene Experience providing technical assistance and clean-up response for chemical spills or other hazardous materials releases Experience in developing and conducting training on health and safety topics Knowledge of Industrial Hygiene Principles and the hierarchy of controls Knowledge of Laboratory Ventilation Systems and Controls Knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards Ability to work in a research and development laboratory environment Ability to meet medical clearance requirements and obtain clearance to wear a respirator Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements Bachelor's degree Additional Qualifications: Experience with Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint Knowledge of chemistry or chemical management principles a plus Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred CIH Certification or CSP Certification OSHA40-hour HAZWOPER Certification Vetting: Applicants selected may be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client.
