Robert Half HR Generalist in Cincinnati, Ohio

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in the manufacturing industry located in Cincinnati, Ohio. The role of an HR Generalist is crucial to our operations, where the individual will assist with special projects and be responsible for updating employee and safety handbooks, assisting with hiring, onboarding, training, and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with updating employee and safety handbooks • Aid in hiring processes, including screening and interviewing potential candidates • Manage onboarding procedures for new employees • Conduct training sessions for staff members • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies • Assist with updates in payroll-ADP • Manage unemployment claims and FMLA leaves • Utilize ADP Workforce Now for various administrative tasks • Oversee benefit functions and compensation administration • Maintain positive employee relations and address any issues that arise. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field

• Proven experience as an HR Generalist

• Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures

• Good knowledge of employment/labor laws

• Outstanding knowledge of Microsoft Office; HRIS systems (e.g. ADP Workforce Now)

• Excellent communication and people skills

• Aptitude in problem-solving

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Experience with Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration

• Understanding of Compliance standards and regulations

• Ability to manage Employee Relations effectively

• Experience in creating and implementing an Employee Handbook

• Knowledge of FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) regulations

• Prior experience in the Metal Fabrication industry is a plus

• Desire to work as a team with a result driven approach

• Additional HR training or certification will be a plus
