About CECH Systems Development and Improvement Center The CECH Systems Development & Improvement (SDI) Center in Columbus, Ohio fosters the development, implementation, and evaluation of PK20 education research and demonstration efforts that improve opportunities to learn for children and youth, their families, and the professionals who support them. At the core of many Center activities is a commitment to advocacy on behalf of all children, as well as partnerships - with school districts, with professional associations, with institutions of higher education, with regional providers, with the state - that improve conditions and outcomes for students with disabilities and other marginalized groups of learners (e.g., learners who are economically disadvantaged, learners at risk of school failure for a variety of reasons, etc.). Job Overview SDI Center in Columbus, Ohio is seeking to hire a Financial Administrator 1 to manage project budgets, fiscal reports, and records for over $10 million in external funding each year. You will process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions for specific center projects and maintain budgeting and expense records. To thrive in the Financial Administrator 1 position, you must be customer service oriented, a self-starter, well-organized, and have the ability to complete work independently, as well as assist others and work as a team when needed. Minimal travel to UC main campus may be required for training or events. This position has the potential for a hybrid work schedule in accordance with UC Policies. Candidate must live in the Greater-Columbus, Ohio area. Funding for this position is based upon the availability of external funds. Essential Functions Manage and reconcile budget accounts. Process Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables. Provide customer service to internal and external customers and partners. Monitor the financial status of unit programs and other budget allocations. Assist in the development of unit policies and procedures. Coordinate and monitor administrative duties. Implement policies to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Prepare reports. May coordinate personnel functions for an operating unit at less than 25% of duties. Perform related duties based on departmental need. Required Education Bachelor's Degree must be in accounting or related field. Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement. Required Experience Related finance or accounting experience. Additional Qualifications Considered Experience working with internal and external customers and partners. Experience working with grants and contracts.
