TheLaboratory Technician will prepare samples with accuracy and precision inaccordance to SGS' analytical SOPs. The Laboratory Technician worksindependently and as part of a team to meet daily production targets andensure hold times and turnaround times are met. The Laboratory Technicianalways follows safe laboratory practices and maintains a safe workingenvironmeJob FunctionsAfter appropriate training independently prepare samples for analysisaccording to SGS' analytical SOPs using basic instrumentation specific tothe department and analytical methodologiesPerforms routine operation, maintenance, calibration of prepinstruments/equipmentMay assist with validation and MDL studies.Inputs and maintains technical information as needed to support the laboratoryfunctions/operations.Maintains Laboratory Notebook where applicable.Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.Performs other duties as required.QualificationsHigh school diploma and0-2 years of experience in Analytical ChemistryLaboratories or prior experience working with one's hands (Required)Associates Degree in a Chemistry or similar scientific discipline and1-2 yearsof years' relevant experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories (Preferred)Advanced English language skills(Required)Basic mathematical and reasoning skills (Required)Basic computer skills (Required)Ability to lift/carry/push or pull upwards of 25 lbs on a frequent basis(Required)
