For more information, please visit our website atwww.sunchemical.comor connect with us onLinkedInorTwitter Job Title: Operations Technology Engineer I Work location: Hybrid Travel Requirement: 25% approx. 5-7 days per month As an integral member of our Global Operations Technology team, the OT Application Integration Engineer will lead the integration of critical industrial systems. This role is essential in ensuring efficient and secure operations. The Engineer will be responsible for seamlessly integrating SCADA, SAP, and MES/MOM systems, enabling real-time monitoring, control, and optimization of our production processes. By unifying these systems, we aim to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, enhance product quality, and ultimately deliver superior customer satisfaction. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Technical Leadership and Integration: Serve as the primary point of contact for OT projects and initiatives. Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of seamless integrations between SCADA, SAP, MES/MOM, and other relevant systems. Ensure data accuracy, security, and reliability throughout the integration process. Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues promptly to minimize operational disruptions. Operational Support and Maintenance: Provide day-to-day support for OT systems, including troubleshooting, ticket resolution, and compliance adherence. Develop and maintain reports to provide valuable insights into operational performance and trends. Manage third-party vendor relationships and OT software licenses. Serve as the local resource for manufacturing software and hardware, providing guidance and support. Safety and Environmental Compliance: Prioritize safety by strictly adhering to all safety policies and procedures. Maintain a clean and organized OT/IT/Controls environment. Contribute to the testing and start-up of new systems and processes. Professional Development: Stay current with the latest trends and industry standards in OT integrations. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and knowledge enhancement. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering) with a focus on computers, networks, software systems, and industrial controls. 5 years of relevant support experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. 2-3 years of experience in: Integrating SAP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) applications Testing, documenting, and training IT/OT systems Collaborating with internal customers to deliver application solutions and project support Working with third-party project and support vendors Report writing and management BENEFITS We offer a range of market-competitive total rewards that include merit increases, paid holidays, Paid Time Off, medical, dental, vision, short and long term disability benefits, 401(k)+match and life insurance.
