Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled SUMMARY Bering Straits Professional Services, LLC (BSPS), a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Deputy Project Manager (DPM) for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The DPM will be responsible for the protection of federally owned/leased facilities. The DPM will oversee and schedule the observation and reporting activities and incidents at assigned locations, providing for the security and safety of client property, visitors, and personnel. The DPM will oversee the preservation of order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises; oversee access control to client site and facility through the admittance process; oversee the monitoring of entrances and exits and the prevention of unapproved OR unlawful entry; oversee and schedule operations and personnel that patrol assigned site on foot OR in vehicle, check for unsafe conditions such as hazards, unlocked doors, and security violations; manage the protection of evidence OR scenes of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, OR security investigations; monitor and review logs OR reports as requested. This position may be exposed to stressful situations. The DPM will assist the Project Manager with contacting the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and other designated client personnel as well as be the secondary point of contact for all employees and corporate entities. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned. * Being available within 30 minutes by telephone or in person to discuss problem areas M-F between 0700 and 1500. * Being available within two hours after duty hours, Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays. * Responding to emergencies or critical situations during scheduled work hours and notifying the COR within 10 minutes. * Being on site within 1 hour of a call during scheduled work hours from the Government about an emergency or critical situation. * Managing all required services. * Communicating with the Government (maintain frequent liaison with the COR). * Accepting all correspondence on behalf of the contractor. * Conduct site visits periodically to all locations; ensure officer proficiency on Posts. * Monitoring supervisors at all locations. * Communicate regularly with site leads. * Assist with needs, problems, and incident responses. * Problem solve any issues and elevate as needed. * Provide leadership as needed. * Keeping personnel compliant in training and certifications. * Maintain Training Spreadsheets, Master Spreadsheets, and Officer Folders. * Assist in development and implementation of Quarterly Exercises, testing officer capabilities. * Monitor and maintain the security guard process through Ohio and North Carolina. * Planning and scheduling all work and training. * Preparing reports (Monthly Status Report, Daily Status Report, Deliverables). * Establish employee performance review periods twice a year. * Ensuring Quality Control (Performing QC inspections on posts). * Attending Security Performance meetings. * Assume responsibilities of the Contract when the Project Manager is out of office. * Wearing appropriate business attire.
