As a Test Technician you will have the opportunityto learn from and grow alongside industry-leading experts.Being at the forefront of automotive testing and certification, we areactively involved in the worldwide development of new testing methods andstandards.As a Test Technician you will gain hands-on experience performing routineemissions tests. Under the direction of a Testing Laboratory Supervisor, youwill be responsible for installing engines or vehicles into the test cells,installing instrumentation, and setting up the test control interface.Must be able to work 2nd shift: 3:00pm-11:30pmInstall and set up test articles, fixtures, test equipment,instrumentation, and controls.Collect data and communicate results to a higher-level Technician,Engineer, or Supervisor, as required.Use specialized test equipment such as vehicle chassis dynamometers and SHEDsMay use statistical methods to identify recurring problems and give detailedreports on defects.May perform calibration and assemble test equipment prior to analysis.Maintain various measurement devices including exhaust emission analyzersFollow quality protocols and report discrepancies to the Supervisor.Perform routine and preventive maintenance of equipment as assigned.Follow all company Health, Safety and Environmental policies and protocols.Maintain a clean working environment.Perform other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent0-2 years of experience in Testing LaboratoryKnowledge regarding the operation and maintenance of diesel and gasolinevehicles or enginesStrong communication skillsPreferredAssociate degree in Engineering Technology or related fieldCertification in Automotive Technology (Automotive Service Excellence(ASE)), Certified Electrician, or certification by TestingTechnician Certification InstituteSalary - $18.00-$25.00/hourSGS Testing Services Aurora | SGS USA (sgsgroup.us.com)#INDLAB
