In partnership with the UC Health academic healthcare system and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, College of Medicine's faculty are transforming the world of medicine every day. The Department of Medical Educationis a top-tier department with world-renowned faculty and staff. The Department of Medical Education is seeking a passionate educator-scientist at the level of Assistant Professor (non-tenure track) to join our department. The primary responsibility of the appointee is to serve as a course director for the Reproductive System course. As part of this role, the selected individual will work closely with other course directors in ongoing curriculum development and integration of basic science and clinical content and serve on various curriculum and educational program committees. The individual is also expected to contribute to learning materials in other organ-system courses in their area of expertise, engage in medical education research and participate in college service activities. Essential Functions Serve as acourse director for the reproductive system course. Serve as a basic science educator in all phases of the medical student curriculum. Collaborate closely with other faculty to develop course materials and strategize innovative methods for teaching basic science content. Serve on various curriculum and educational program committees as needed. Minimum Requirements Ph.D, M.D., or D.O. degree. Additional Qualifications Considered Background in medical school foundational science such as: anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and microbiology. Experience in course oversight or administration. A history of teaching excellence in collegiate or medical school courses, and a scholarly focus on education research.
