dsm-firmenich Import & Cross Border Logistics Manager in Cileungsi, Indonesia

The Import & Cross Border Logistics Manager is responsible for day-to-day Export & Import operation that is aligned with Indonesia Logistics Operations Master Plan to support business growth of all Business Units in an increasing competitive environment .

This function will be reporting to Head of Logistics Operation ID who is based in Cileungsi, Indonesia .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and implement innovative and cost-efficient logistics solutions related to Import & Cross Border Logistics operations that enable business growth and promote customer intimacy.

  • Drive continuous improvement mindset in the organization thereby delivering value in the overall the business value chain.

  • Value chain extension from product to services requires continuous improvement on import & export execution.

  • Being savvy with Free Trade Agreements that are in-force and the ability to leverage on Free Trade Agreements between countries and regions will be critical to maximize Gross Margin of the business.

  • Ownership of logistics processes in the ERP system that is related to Order to Cash and Purchase to Pay workflow, Responsible for Import & Cross Border Logistics related master data.

  • Be the in-house subject matter expert with respect to import related and cross border logistics.

  • Manage complex internal and external stakeholder profiles to ensure delivered services fulfils the Service Level Agreement. Internal stakeholders include commercial, customer experience, manufacturing sites, and quality and safety across the different Business Units. External stakeholders include service providers for warehouse and transportation, customs brokers, and government agencies.

    You bring:

  • C ollege or university graduate, MBA, or supply chain management master preferred and customs certification required .

  • A minimum of 10 years Export-Import operation management experience with a multi-national environment, preferred experience in the food, beverage, pharma, chemical or allied products industries.

  • Direct management of cost control responsibilities in logistics environment .

  • Experience in implementation of continuous improvement culture within the team .

  • Experience in measuring key performance metrics, and inmotivating and holding people accountable for results

  • Competent in addressing and managing the complexity of different logistics challenges, and also Effective in conflict resolution and capable of developing practical, creative solutions.

  • Excellent communication (English is a must) and team building skills

  • Keen ability to analyse logistics processes and identify areas for improvement and Skilled in data-driven decision-making and performance measurement.

  • Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP ERP systems and analytical skills (MS Excel)
