We are currently looking for an Accounting Officer to assist our Accounting Department. As an Accounting Officer your primary function is to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, or other financial activities within Idaho Central Credit Union.

Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
Prepare Daily, Weekly, and Monthly reconciliations of general ledger and internal accounts.
Process Payments to Credit Union vendors.
Assist in management of Credit Union’s daily cash position.
Report to management regarding the finances of Idaho Central Credit Union.
Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.
Develop, implement, modify, and document record-keeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
Administer Credit Union’s Vendor Management Program.
Manage Insurance for the Credit Union.
Other projects and duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required. Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. Must have the ability to work under pressure and organize tasks for optimal performance. Requires excellent organizational, communication, and relationship building skills. Must take pride in department, always meeting and exceeding member’s expectations. Must be professional and courteous in manner, with a focus on details, attendance, quality and quantity of work performed. Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by Idaho Central Credit Union.
Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.) Sit for extended periods of time. Lift 20-40 pounds of office supplies (copy paper, computer paper, mail, etc). Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers. Reach keyboards. Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc).
Must be eligible for membership at Idaho Central Credit Union to obtain employment.
